Craving winter

Hello again everyone (which is almost assuredly no one, since the last time that I updated this blog, most of the universe was still optimistic about human survival. And since we seem to be hurtling fast towards end of civilization, it seems likely that no one will see this post).

Continuing in the vein of few of the previous posts, there is no particular reason for this post except for my need to blow off steam. Especially now that the summers are upon us and most things seem to be quite literally steaming.

Folks who know me (who are so few that I count them on my fingers), know that I hate the summers and the rains with equal enthusiasm (must seem a bit counter-intuitive since I love beaches, but there you go). Since the past year, summer has taken the lead in my hate list. Not least because of the searing heat which seems so uncharacteristic of my residential city. Compounded with couple of unpleasant experiences, one of which at least, will unequivocally leave some bad and sad memories to last a long long time. But as past experiences have taught - "this too shall pass". Till it does, can't really do much other than grinning and bearing it.

Coming to the rains, they are generally pleasant enough, heralding the date de naissance of yours truly. I know it's just a number, but it's getting a bit boring. And as much as I dislike the gloomy, pouring skies, at least rains mean that "winter is coming" soon.

So, I end this post by saying "May the others take the summer" and I hope my next summer is in a different city.
